FAU Physics Academy: Oxides and their surfaces

FAU Physics Academy: Oxides and their surfaces

March 16th - 18th, 2016

Erlangen, Germany

Oxides and their surfaces are the basis for future technologies such as molecular electronics, solar energy conversion, catalysis, sensors and biomaterials. However, the understanding of the physics of oxide surfaces is just emerging. The intention of the Physics Academy is to make the current state of research of oxides and their surfaces accessible to students and young researchers interested in that topic. The lectures cover the basic phenomena encountered in oxides and discuss experimental and theoretical methods to explore them.

Join the FAU Physics Academy for BSc and MSc students organized by the Department of Physics of the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU).

                              Application deadline: February 15th, 2016
